The Diolux Laser by Port Orange Hair Removal
The Diolux by Emvera Technologies is a high powered diode laser for permanent hair reduction, which has the ability to operate at up to 10 pulses per second. This machine drastically reduces treatment time by up to 75% with little to no discomfort.
How does it work?
Unwanted hair is eliminated using a beam of light that passes through the skin into individual hair follicles. The light emitted is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) within the hair follicle. As the hair follicles absorb this laser energy, the hair shaft and bulb are damaged. This significantly reduces the hair’s ability to regrow. The result is permanent hair reduction with little or no down time. Immediately following treatments, the treated area may appear mildly sunburn or irritated. This generally improves within a day or two.
Men and women of most skin types with dark hair have been successfully treated by the Diolux laser. Hair follicles throughout the body go through periods of dormancy and growth. Because laser hair removal only affects hair follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of the procedure, follicles at rest must enter the growth phase before they can be targeted. Typically, four to six treatments are needed at intervals of four to six weeks for effective hair reduction.
